Back to School | Workout Update

first day of school for my daughtersGrowing up, Labor Day weekend always meant the final preparation for back to school, it was no different in my house last weekend. By Monday, the girls’ stuff was all organized and ready for school. We anticipated a nice week ahead and took advantage of it, so that we could walk each day!

Here’s the rundown of my workouts for the past week:

  • Monday (Labor Day): Running — I ran 3 miles and felt great
  • Tuesday — 2 mile walk (in 1/2 mile increments, that’s the distance to/from school) + P90X3 Yoga
  • Wednesday  — 2 mile walk
  • Thursday — 1 mile walk, Les Mills Pump, Pump & Shred
  • Friday — 2 mile walk
  • Saturday — water skiing on Lake Sammamish
  • Sunday — Running

I had planned on doing Focus T25 with Sam and a second Les Mills Pump, but realized that my body needed a bit of a break. I really enjoyed my run on Monday and didn’t want to over-exert myself so that I would have been too tired to get the second run in for the week.

This week, I’m planning on the following:

  • Monday — 1 mile walk + Les Mills Pump, Pump & Burn
  • Tuesday — 2 mile walk + P90X3 Yoga
  • Wednesday — 2 mile walk
  • Thursday — 1.5 mile walk + Run (planning on running before picking the girls up from school)
  • Friday — 2 mile walk + Focus T25 with Sam
  • Saturday — Les Mills Pump, Pump & Shred
  • Sunday — Run
