In the business of fitness successes!

6 workouts | July 14 – 20

I wanted to get 6 workouts in this past week and it didn’t look likely on Monday… that kinda sucked, so let me take you back to the beginning of last week…

Monday was Camryn’s first day home from sleep away camp.

She was overtired and missing the structure of camp life. It was probably too much for her thatย I had signed her up for both tennis camp in the morning and swim lessons in the evening. By the time the kids got to bed, I was beyond exhausted and just not able to push play. This gave me two rest days in a row.

sweaty-pic-july-15-2014Tuesday, I knew I needed to get my workout in early. So, I popped Les Mills Pump – Pump & Shred into the Xbox and pushed play. That is one long workout and exactly what I needed to get my head back on straight!

Wednesday we (Sam and I) did Focus T25 Speed 2.0 which would normally have been a good follow up to a strength workout — but it hit the quads so much and my quads were sore from the long squat and lunge tracks from the day before.

I knew I had to do P90X3 Yoga on Thursday – my body would have protested had I attempted anything else!

Friday I took on the weights again with Les Mills Pump – Pump & Burn. It’s a great workout ๐Ÿ™‚

Saturday and Sunday, I worked out with Sam again. We did Focus T25 Gamma Extreme Circuit and then Focus T25 Beta Core Cardio to finish up the week.

I felt really good all week with the workouts that I did do. I thought about taking the week off or just not putting 100% into the workouts, and this blog posting ritual that I’ve started steered me back to my commitment to my fitness and my positive choices. There is no way to be a product of the product without showing the ups and downs and the way to push through ๐Ÿ™‚

Friday is my Birthday!!

Yup… I’m going to be 37 this week and I cannot wait! Seriously, I love celebrating birthdays and I think I’ve had an awesome year and I really look forward to all that is coming next year. So without further ado, here’s my workout plan for the coming week:

  • July 21 – P90X3 Dynamix
  • July 22 – Focus T25 with Sam
  • July 23 – Les Mills Pump, Pump & Burn
  • July 24 – Focus T25 with Sam
  • July 25 – Nothing — it’s my birthday ๐Ÿ™‚
  • July 26 – Les Mills Pump, Pump & Shred
  • July 27 – P90X3 Yoga

My wish for you, for my birthday, is that you commit to your fitness and nutrition for just 3 weeks. I said it in my last post, and I’ll say it again the best way to succeed at your fitness program is to make it a NO MATTER WHAT — schedule your workouts, commit fully to the end point and make it happen!

So, what are you going to commit to me for my birthday?
